FagronLab™ Cabinet CC2A2-700UV
Class II containment cabinet, 700 mm
A 700 mm Class II Type A2 biological safety cabinet built for pharmaceutical laboratories working with pathogenic biological agents. An air curtain across the work opening protects the operator, HEPA-filtered downward laminar flow protects the preparation, and a second HEPA filter on the exhaust protects the environment. The airflow system recirculates 70% of the air and exhausts 30%.

How it is used
- Weighing and mixing hazardous drugs under containment.
- Sterile and non-sterile preparation in a controlled ISO-class air stream.
- Handling pathogenic biological agents, primary cultures, stocks and diagnostic specimens.
Advantages
- Two HEPA filters, 99.999% efficient at 0.3 μm, with a filter-life indicator.
- Motorized front window in anti-UV two-layer laminated toughened glass, controlled by panel, remote or foot switch.
- Large LCD showing filter pressures, airflow velocities, filter and UV lamp hours, temperature and humidity.
- Visual and audible alarms for filter replacement, window over-height and abnormal airflow velocity.
- 304 stainless steel work zone; main body in cold-rolled steel with anti-bacterial powder coating.
- 15 W UV lamp at 253.7 nm with timer and life indicator for work-zone decontamination.

Installation clearances
Measured from the front window unless stated otherwise.
| Requirement | Minimum distance |
|---|---|
| Circulation space in front of the window | 1000 mm |
| Opposing wall or airflow obstruction | 2000 mm |
| Room air supply diffuser | 1500 mm |
| Doorway (front / side of cabinet) | 1500 mm / 1000 mm |
Maintenance intervals
| Task | Interval |
|---|---|
| Disinfect and clean the operating area | Daily or weekly |
| Clean external surfaces and front window | Daily or weekly |
| Comprehensive maintenance | Every 12 months or 1000 operating hours |
| UV lamp replacement | At 1000 UV operating hours (or per intensity test) |
Operating notes
Set the front window to 200 mm above the work surface and run the blower for at least half an hour before starting work. The blower only operates when the front window is open.
People should leave the room during UV sterilization to protect eyes and skin. Verify that the supply voltage is correct, stable and properly grounded; use a voltage regulator where mains voltage fluctuates.
