FagronLab™ EMP PRO

High capacity mixing, 2000 mL

The programmed version of the EMP platform. Instead of selecting a level and time by hand, the operator chooses a stored program and the device runs the validated profile.

FagronLab™ EMP PRO

How it is used

  • “Suspension < 2%” — pre-grinding and main mixing of low-concentration suspensions.
  • “Suspension > 2%” — single-stage mixing of high-concentration suspensions.
  • “Gel” — moistening and swelling phases for large-batch gels and gummies.
  • “Suppositories” — melting and mixing of suppository bases with microfine insoluble APIs.

Advantages

  • Pre-validated mixing programs with customizable memory to support GMP and pharmacopoeial standards
  • No manual entry of jar volume, mixing time or speed
  • Programs rescale across jar sizes without recalculating parameters
  • Access to German Pharmacopoeia (DAC-NF) formulations
  • Interfaces for laboratory scales, printers, peripherals and network
  • Replaceable lifting arm and rinsable keypad for easy servicing and cleaning
  • Capacity up to 2000 mL for large-batch compounding
  • Quiet operation from optimized mechanics and electronics

What it delivers

01

Highest automation tier

Fully automatic mixing parameters deliver the top pharmaceutical quality and cream content uniformity rating of the EMP line.

02

Time and resource savings

Rescaling stored programs to another jar size removes recalculation and trial batches.

03

Traceability

Integrated barcode scanner, ID output and connected printers or scales streamline batch documentation.

04

Large-volume capability

Jars up to 2000 mL extend closed-system compounding to high-volume preparations.

The top of the EMP line

The FagronLab™ EMP PRO offers comprehensive functionality with pre-validated programs and customizable memory to ensure adherence to GMP and pharmacopoeial standards. A 10.1-inch touch display lets users select the required function without manual adjustment of jar volume, mixing time or speed, and integrated standard programs for suspensions, emulsions and gels streamline semisolid production.

Programs can be rescaled for different jar sizes without recalculating parameters. The PRO also provides access to German Pharmacopoeia (DAC-NF) formulations and supports customization through an optional rinsable keypad connection, with multiple ports for scales, printers and other devices.

Working mechanism

Like the rest of the line, the PRO relies on precise vertical and horizontal movement of a jar-matched mixing blade whose V-shaped edges reduce particle size and distribute ingredients uniformly, destroying agglomerates and preventing accumulation in the jar.

The patented blade-and-jar arrangement means the jar acts as both hygienic mixing vessel and primary packaging — a closed system in line with GMP guidance on preventing cross-contamination during processing and transfer.

Complementary workflow

Deaeration after mixing is optional but recommended and can be performed with the FagronLab™ PM140 and MillBottle. Suppository preparations continue into the FagronLab™ molding solution — 3-in-1 support rack, suppository molds and secondary packaging.
