FagronLab™ EMP PRO
Fully automatic mixer, 15 – 2000 mL
The EMP PRO is the fully automated top of the FagronLab™ EMP line. Its programmable microprocessor runs the complete mixing process: choose a program on the touch display, scan the jar size with the integrated camera (or enter it manually), lock the jar into the automatic lift arm and press start. Two quiet, high-performance motors handle semi-solid compounds from 15 – 20 mL up to 2000 mL.
How it is used
- Pre-grinding — wets micronized solids for suspensions under 2% (e.g. corticoids, antibiotics, antifungals, hormones) before main mixing.
- Suspension < 2% and Suspension > 2% — distributes solids evenly in a base (e.g. zinc oxide, salicylic acid, bismuth gallate).
- Emulsion — incorporates liquids into hydrophilic bases at room temperature.
- Emulsion + — incorporates liquids into a melted base with a controlled cool-down.
- Gel — disperses gelling agents into liquids or semi-solid bases.
- Suppositories — stirs a melted suppository base to its soft melting point before filling molds.
- Soft in Soft — combines two semi-solid bases, from low-viscosity to paste.
- Specialties — gentle parameters for surface-active or sensitive APIs and force-sensitive bases.
- NRF and DAB / DAC — stored programs for selected standard formulations, searchable and markable as favorites.
- Stored Programs — save your own programs by name and 13-digit ID; up to six favorites appear on the start screen.

What it delivers
Hands-off consistency
The microprocessor controls every mixing step, so each batch is made the same way regardless of who runs it.
Documentation built in
Every finished run produces an ID number that records the mixing parameters, simplifying batch records and repeat preparations.
Closed-system hygiene
The FagronLab™ jar is both the mixing vessel and the final package, and is heat resistant up to 85 °C / 185 °F.
Large-batch capacity
Jars from 15 – 20 mL up to 2000 mL cover everything from single prescriptions to large batches.
How a run works
Select a mixing program on the start screen, then scan or enter the jar size. Hold the FagronLab™ logo on the jar to the front, slide the mixing shaft into the lift arm from the front and lock it with a quarter turn counterclockwise. Press start: the lift arm raises the jar, locks and mixing begins.
When mixing finishes, the free-spin program runs automatically, the lift arm lowers the jar to the removal position and the ID number for the run is shown on the display. A run can be stopped at any time with the Stop button, choosing either Cancel or Free-spin.
Preparing the jar
Weigh the components into the FagronLab™ jar, screw on the lid with the mixing blade, then push the jar bottom up so trapped air escapes before closing the lid tightly. Cover solids with base so powder does not stick to the blade, and use micronized powders for the best result.
For heat-sensitive or high-solids pastes, a cooling cuff or chilled base limits warming during mixing.
