Torpac ProFill 100 Capsule Filling System
Manual capsule filling machines for high-volume batches
A 100-hole handheld capsule filling system for R&D, pharmacy compounding, nutritional supplements and clinical studies. A patented “perfect fit” design orients and transfers every capsule on the first pass, and an exclusive 50-pin tamper, full-sized spreader and powder tray with reservoir make it up to 35% faster than other 100-hole systems. Each system is fully equipped for one capsule size; tool-free change parts extend it to additional sizes.
How it is used
- Pour 50+ capsules onto the orienter, shake them into the slots and pour off the excess.
- Seat the orienter on the filler at position I, slide it to drop the capsules, then repeat at position II to fill the remaining rows.
- Close the locking plate, squeeze the cam lever and separate the caps from the bodies with the fast-action handle.
- Place the powder tray, pour the pre-measured powder and spread it into the bodies, pushing the excess onto the reservoir.
- Tamp the powder, spread the reservoir remainder, then replace the capsule tray and lock all 100 capsules in one motion.

Validation summary
Variation in fill weight between capsules filled in the same trial run is approximately ±7%, and variation between runs filled by the same operator is also approximately ±7%.
The average fill weight across 100 capsules in each run stayed within ±1% of the target weight.
Sizes, change parts and accessories
A ProFill 100 system ships fully equipped for one capsule size and includes an orienter base and 50-pin tamper covering one of four size ranges: 000, 00/0/1, 1/2/3 and 4/5. Change parts add sizes within that range with no tools; a conversion kit adds the orienter base and tamper for a different size range.
Accessories extend the system to capsule-in-capsule filling, over-encapsulation of round tablets, 100-pin tampers for higher speed, locking blocks for easier closing, and custom partial-fill attachments for applications such as inhalation capsules.
Maintenance is simple: clean daily to remove powder, and wipe and lubricate the body sheet and cam with a food-grade lubricant.
